Moritz Gagern was born in Munich in 1973. He lives in Berlin since 1995 and works as a freelancing composer.

In theater he has collaborated, among others, with Hans Neuenfels and Schorsch Kamerun, at Deutsches Theater Berlin, Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel München, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Ruhrtriennale, Volksbühne Berlin and others. For the musical theater project “Synchron City” he got a grant-in-aid prize by the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung 2009, in 2010 he is a stipendiary as guest composer at the Deutsche Studienzentrum in Venice.
